As the sun sets on September 8, 2024, the Stade de France in Paris will become a vibrant hub of celebration, marking the end of the 2024 Paralympic Games.

For over a week, the world has been captivated by the inspiring performances of 4,400 athletes from 168 delegations, and now it's time to close this chapter with a spectacular ceremony that promises to be as memorable as the events that preceded it.

The ceremony, directed by Thomas Jolly, will be a tribute to the indomitable spirit of the athletes, with a unique French flair.

Jolly, known for his imaginative and bold approach, has carefully curated every moment of the Closing Ceremony, ensuring it reflects the resilience and triumphs of the athletes.

His vision will transform the Stade de France into a stage for 24 artists from the French electronic music scene, who will pay homage to the Paralympians through various electrifying performances.

Among the highlights of the evening will be a heartfelt performance by Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker, who will sing the US national anthem during the Handover Ceremony to Los Angeles, the host city of the 2028 Paralympic Games.

Following her rendition, the audience will be treated to a lineup of celebrated artists, including jazz pianist Matthew Whitaker, violinist and singer-songwriter Gaelynn Lea, rapper Garnett Silver-Hall, and the multi-talented Anderson Paak.

With the iconic Venice Beach coastline projected as the backdrop, the LA28 handover will provide a glimpse into the vibrant culture that awaits the world in 2028.

Traditional elements of the Closing Ceremony, including speeches, anthems, and the transfer of the Paralympic flag, will be seamlessly woven into the artistic performances.

Each segment is designed to honor the athletes' achievements and celebrate the unity and inclusion that the Games embody.

When and where to watch?

The ceremony begins at 11:30 pm and will be broadcast live on DD Sports and Sports 18 channels, while those preferring to stream online can watch on JIO Cinema.
