The Indian Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL) will kick off its inaugural season on October 4th, with eight teams participating in the tournament.

The teams will compete for the top honor from October 4th to 19th, 2024, at Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium, Panchkula.

The Haryana Hurricane, Rajasthan Rulers, and Delhi Dragons, three of the franchisees for the inaugural Indian Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL), announced their captains on Tuesday.

Known for his intense and relentless style, Shiv Kumar will captain the Haryana Hurricane with unwavering grit and determination. The team has introduced a bold new jersey that symbolizes power and intimidation.

Kapil Narwal has been named captain of the Rajasthan Rulers. With Kapil at the helm, the Rulers are set to emphasize strategic planning and its meticulous execution.

The Delhi Dragons have named Vikas Dahiya as their captain for the inaugural season. Known for his swift agility and ability to alter the course of the game in moments, Dahiya will spearhead the team’s focus on speed and precision.

Pro Kabaddi League star and legendary all-rounder Manjeet Chillar, the Brand Ambassador for the IPKL, said, “I’m incredibly excited for the first season and can’t wait to see the intense matches and thrilling drama on the mat. Kabaddi is a game native to Indian soil, and it gives me immense pleasure to see it receiving such a positive response and growing following in the country.”

UP Titan, Punjab Paltan, Gujarat Gladiators, Mumbai Marathas, and Bengaluru Bison are among the other franchises set to compete in the inaugural Indian Premier Kabaddi League.
