SMRI, Kerala and Dream Olympic Sports, Hyderabad sign LoU for Knowledge Partnership

Dream Olympic Sports Private Limited, Hyderabad, India (“DOS”) has entered into a Letter of Understanding with Sports & Management Research Institute, Kochi (“SMRI”) for knowledge partnership with an overall objective of development and promotion of baseball in India.

DOS is a sports company working with an aim to develop and popularize the sport of baseball in India, relying on the existing bat and ball culture in the country. SMRI, led by Mr. Sijin is an institution striving to revolutionize the Indian sports ecosystem system by creating world-class sports professionals in various sports disciplines.

DOS and SMRI are keen on bringing about a significant change in the sporting environment of the country through the partnership. The collaboration will enable establishment and promotion of closer and long-term co-operation between the two organisations in developing a sports culture.

The partnership will provide a platform for DOS and SMRI to interact and share the latest developments and knowledge in the baseball domain. It will facilitate exchange of technical expertise, reports and documents focusing on various models and trends for building a professional baseball ecosystem in India.

DOS Baseball

Both SMRI and DOS would be working on a diverse set of baseball projects, starting with the Premier League Baseball Schools (“PLB Schools”) project (grassroot baseball development programme in partnership with schools). Mr. Vamsi Krishna Kondreddi, (MD & CEO, Dream Olympic Sports) opines that, “The collaboration with SMRI would be instrumental in promotion of grassroot baseball development through the PLB Schools initiative along with other exciting projects that DOS and SMRI are planning to take up”.

As a part of the PLB Sports curriculum, the students would receive regular instructions during their training in school and will get ample opportunities to travel abroad through exchange programs to foreign schools to enhance their knowledge and skill”
